What is KB,MB,GB and rarely heard TB,PB,EB?

In simple words " A computer is an electronic device that is capable of accepting the data, process the data, stores the data and gives output", ADVANTAGE OF COMPUTER ARE:

So first we'll talk about SPEED later on another things, Computer is very fast in it's function. It can process millions of instructions per second (MIPS is the unit of measuring the process speeds). As an electronic
device, computer performs huge numbers of operation with in a small time. The speed is measured in Mega Hertz (MHz).

STORAGE: A computer can store huge amount of data in its memory and that can save the data and can be retrieved from the computers memory wherever measured in terms of Bits & Bytes.

(1) 4 Bits          = 1 NIBBLE                                      (2) 8 Bits          = 1 BYTE

(3) 1024 Bytes = 1 KILO BYTE (KB)                          (4) 1024 KB    = 1 MEGA BYTE (MB)

(5) 1024 MB   = 1 GIGA BYTE (GB)                         .(6) 1024  GB   =  1 TERA BYTE (TB)

(7) 1024 TB    = 1 PETA BYTE (PB)                          (8)  1024 PB    = 1 EXA BYTE (EB)

ACCURACY: A Computer can perform all the operations with 100% accuracy. The accuracy of the computer depends upon the data entered by the user. They do not make mistakes in calculations. A user can make a mistake out not the computer.

VERSATILITY: Computer can perform any job if given correct instructions. There are no limitations to its type of work, because it is very versatile. We can write, we can draw, we can play, we can see, we can hear, we can send mail Etc.

DILIGENCE: Computer perform complicated and repetitive tasks very well, without error, for long periods of time, as they do not suffer from carelessness, boredom or tiredness, The efficiency of a computer does not decrease with age. Unlike mechanical or electrical devices the speed of a computer remains the same over a number of years.

Processing and Information

Data is a collection of facts, figures, statistics that can be processed to produce meaningful information. In a business environment data can be the number of hours worked, names of employees pay details.

Processing: Processing is the manipulation of the letters, numbers, or graphic symbols that constitute data. Data is collected, Captured,sifted,rearranged, sorted in sequences,stored, retrieved, formatted and sent to various persons who need the information.

Information: Information is processed data. The reason is because whether a particular item or statistic is information, depends not only upon its content value but also upon the individual to whom it is given.
